Namio Harukawa Forever ! #2

　　I made a bold decision.

　　Instead of placing the English translation nearby speech bubbles,
I delete Japanese texts in the frame of speech bubbles and replace it with English.

I hope mugi-san would permit this violation.



Pay attention please Japanese HIRAGANA text used as Onomatopoeia in the center strip.



It's very difficult to translate because it does not have exact meanings.

Not only being depicted as a kind of drawing but also it looks characters calligraphy.

　And also, did you notice that the background pattern is strange?

ぐにゃあ〜　　Gunyaa...


This word (sound) invites the protagonist (= Mugi) a different spacial dimension space or other fantasy world. This is a kind of sound effect of visual.

It has the allure and subtlety characteristic of Japanese Manga.

The following is an example of a typical onomatopoeia.

Onomatopoeia is an important element of Japanese manga.

Mostly physical sound or noise and so on...

But sometimes it becomes a psychological sound in your mind.




　　　　もぎり　　　　MO-Gi-Ri


This is another onomatopoeia which Mr.mugi-san tried to genrate metapher of another world but it does not have sound in a sense.

Actually it's impossible to hear this sound anyway. If you could imagine your virtual sound it's interesting...

It's hard to explain well for me but I hope you can enjoy anyway.

Let me explain the action of "Mo-Gi-Ri "

　　When you buy an advance ticket of such as art exhibition and before entering at the entrance, your ticket of half will be torn by the staff of reception and then you pick up the half of ticket. This procedure is called Mo-Gi-Ri in Japanese.



(I wonder is it the same styleI overseas?)

As you see the ticket here looks like a male figure naked.

Needless to say this is an allegory of Fem-Dom world entrance.

So... from now on, mugi-san will explore the other world of kingdom in a way.

　That onomatopoeia sound "Gunyaa" is like a signal to change the next stage.

Simultaneously , Mugi-san also suggests to us as readers the experience of another dimension, that is, Mr. Harukawa's world.

　Well, IMHO, it can be said that mugi-san aims for freedom of expression of interpretation by expressing his thoughts in an illusionary space, not in reality.

Because he is a very shy person.

This is also one of my free interpretations.
